Pacific Coast Wedding, A Night to Remember
On one blissful evening in this summer, the most elaborate of nuptial dreams became a reality. Every element of the wedding at the Portuguese Bend Beach Club in Southern California radiated perfection. Nestled on an intimate beach, Classic Tents vision, direction and design were able to transform a bare landscape of rock and sand into a gorgeous haven of escape, magic and memories. Considering the six months of meticulous planning involved, the custom lighting, silk linens and matching chair cushions were only the tip of the iceberg. A total of three tents were erected over two and a half days. The largest of them was 50x70 feet, with 8,500 square feet of flooring strategically stretched between all three tents. Upon exiting the shuttle buses that drove them down the winding path leading to the beach, the wedding guests stepped directly onto custom-laid walkways lined with palm trees, eliminating the awkward task of walking on the sand. The remaining two tents were 30x40 feet, with the catering tent positioned behind the main structure, and the hors d’oeuvres and beverage tent -- complete with a thatched roof -- placed on the opposite side. After the outdoor ceremony, the wedding party and 160 guests adjourned to the main reception tent where accouterments such as the turquoise-by-day, perfectly lit-by-night overhead lanterns hung from the clear tent top -- a striking feature Aztec included along with a massive clear wall, which complimented the breathtaking ocean view.
